Learn the wine culture of Tierra de Barros
The Almendralejo Museum of Wine Sciences is part of a group of wine museums belonging to the Association of Spanish Wine Museums, which aims to promote and spread wine culture in general and that of each region specifically.
In particular, the museum in question is located in the old "Extremadura Alcohol Factory", an alcohol factory from the mid-20th century. When you go in, you'll feel like you're in a wine cellar and you'll see the old wine and alcohol vats and other utensils, such as the distillation tower, which is the museum administrative area nowadays.
The Almendralejo Museum of Wine Sciences is also one of the "Identity Museums" from the Extremadura Museum Network, a Regional Government and Town Council project, created to promote wine culture, especially that of Almendralejo and, in general, of the Tierra de Barros district.
If you are a wine lover, call the museum and book your wine-tasting course.
