Pinares De Garrovillas Special Protection Area (SPA) for Birds

Located in the west of Cáceres province lies the Pinares De Garrovillas Special Protection Area for Birds, through which various waterways flow, such as the Reana and Garcicaballero streams. These in turn irrigate the pine groves and extensive pseudo-steppe areas with grasses that shape this unique beauty spot, where you can see reptiles such as the Spanish pond turtle.

But the area's most outstanding attraction is undoubtedly the chance to spot some of the region's most characteristic birds, such as the endangered black stork and great bustards. A natural heritage that spans Coria, Brozas and Cáceres.
