The presence of gall-oaks in Extremadura is nothing short of extraordinary, which is why they are recognised as singular.
In the Sierra del Chorrero you will see lush vegetation, thanks to the abundant rainfall. Curiously enough, amongst the tree species in the Sierras de Salvaleón, in the province of Badajoz, there are numerous gall-oaks, which are usually found in damper places. The presence of gall-oaks in El Chorrero is quite extraordinary, which is why this group of trees is classed as singular. But if we had to highlight one particular specimen, it would be a young Algerian oak about 15 metres tall with a trunk circumference of 3 metres.
